Account deletion
This page explains how to delete your Ev3nly cloud account and what data is deleted or retained. Ev3nly is offline-first: your group data lives on your device by default.
If you only use Ev3nly locally (no sign-in), there is no cloud account to delete. To remove local data, delete groups in the app or uninstall/clear app storage.
Option A (recommended): delete from inside the app
- Open Ev3nly.
- Go to Settings → Account & Billing.
- Under Delete cloud account, tap Delete account.
This permanently deletes your Ev3nly cloud account and any cloud backups associated with it. Local data on your device is not deleted automatically.
Option B: request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email support@ev3nly.com from the email address you used to sign in.
- Subject:
Account deletion request - Include: the sign-in email for the account you want deleted
We may need to verify you own the account before deleting it. After verification, we typically process deletion within 7 days.
What is deleted
- Cloud account data: your account profile (email/name) and cloud feature status.
- Cloud backups: any backup payloads stored for your account.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can delete some data without deleting your account:
- Delete a cloud backup: Settings → Data → Cloud Backup → Restore from Cloud → Delete.
- Delete a local group: Settings → Data → Danger Zone → Delete Group.
- Wipe all local data: Settings → Data → Reset app (wipe local data).
Note: deleting local data does not remove shared group data stored for other members.
What may be retained
- Transaction records: purchase records may be retained by the payment provider (Google Play / Apple App Store / Stripe / RevenueCat) for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Local data on your device: deleting your cloud account does not remove data stored locally in the app/browser storage.
- Shared group history: if you participated in a shared group, some group history may remain visible to other group members (similar to how shared documents or chats work).
How to delete local data
- In Ev3nly, delete your groups and related data.
- Or uninstall the app / clear the app storage (Android) / clear website data (web).
